Chef Ruby founded International Flavors Cuisine LLC to offer spices and seasonings created with homemade ingredients. Quality and balance are at the forefront of our collection. They can complement a wide variety of foods and appeal to various palates and preferences. Born in Sierra Leone on the coast of West Africa, Chef Ruby, also known as Rugiatu Conteh, was raised in a home where the cornerstones of her family's education included love and appreciation for food and fresh, healthy products. Chef ruby and her mother used to spend a lot of time in the kitchen when she was younger. Her mother, the late Isha Conteh, who was a pioneer in organic farming, started teaching her the virtues of nature. Ruby, who was born in Bo Town and grew up in Sierra Leone, was 19 when she decided to travel to a few different countries. She eventually ending up in the United States, where she had her first professional experience as a caterer after working at several different jobs. She had the opportunity to work and learn to become an entrepreneurial chef over the course of many years, allowing her to discover the colors of a refined cuisine.
